Description: “Traffic in Women” is a progressive theater piece with an all-female cast (plus one male youth) that focuses on the nature of revenge. The light drama clashes “Attic” themes with post-modern attitudes and revives the Furies—the ever popular avenging deities last seen in Aeschylus’ classical trilogy, the Oresteia. In a quest to regain powers of revenge that Athena persuaded them to surrender more than 2,400 years ago in the Eumenides, the three sisters force a dialogue between the goddess of wisdom and several of the most violent women of classical myth.
