As part of the "St. Paul and Evangelization" Pauline Year Lecture Series, Dr. Ben Witherington III explains the oral and rhetorical character of the world in which Paul lived, and indicates how Paul's use of the art of persuasion (rhetoric) was a key to his successful advancing of the cause of Christ from Jerusalem to Rome.
Dr. Witherington is Amos Professor of New Testament for Doctoral Studies at Asbury Theological Seminary and is on the doctoral faculty at St. Andrews University in Scotland.
